Larissa & Charles

So excited to share some photos from Larissa & Charles' wedding at The Houstonian

Think Studio Houston provided some uber fabulous floral - Larissa and I were both blown away by the flowers arrangements.  I think the bouquets will go down as my absolute favorite bouquets to date - love the dahlias!

The reception was rocked by Curbsyde Prophets, a local cover band (the lead singer was also a groomsman).

Here are a few of my favorites - check out the rest on Billie Roche Photography's blog post.

{Declassified} Honest Thank You Notes ♥ The Broke-Ass Bride: Bad-ass Wedding Inspiration on a Broke-Ass Budget

{Declassified} Honest Thank You Notes ♥ The Broke-Ass Bride: Bad-ass Wedding Inspiration on a Broke-Ass Budget

We've had many requests for a blog post that gives tips on how to handle thank you notes for gifts received that you're really not so thankful for.  So when we ran across this blog post about honest thank you notes on The Broke-Ass Bride we just had to share.

99% of you won’t actually send a thank you note as honest as those in the blog post, but you will need to send something to the gift giver.  While getting a gift that you never see yourself using or even re-gifting to someone else is clearly not as much fun as receiving an awesome gift you’ve always wanted, the point you need to remember is that the gift giver thinks the gift is awesome for you and they are excited to be giving it to you (or it’s the best they can do and even they wish they could have done something more).

In the end, you do need to be a gracious recipient and give the most heartfelt thank you that you can muster.  Be generic if you have to when writing those difficult thank you notes, but do be kind.

Get your "honest thank you” out verbally over a glass of wine with your spouse.  You just never know, that knitted pot holder from Aunt Sally that looks more like a throw blanket for a small dog may become the best inside joke of all time between the two of you.

Kendra & Jarron

Kendra & Jarron's photos are up on Sweet Fix Photography's blog.  Check them out here.

We had so much fun working with Kendra and Jarron!  The use of the various shades of purple resulted in one of my favorite bouquets of all time from Stephanie at Flora Bella.  And check out the groom's cake - a mixed tape!  This wedding was pure awesome!

UT vs A&M - Wedding Edition

Rochelle & Tom are such a fun loving couple, and we adored working with them! We were so excited to witness the coming together of this Longhorn and Aggie, and we loved how they brought the rivalry into the reception. We may have even Whooped a little bit (sorry Rochelle).

They ended up with an amazing photographer, Joshua Tyi, and I wanted to share a bit of his work.
